How to Clean and Protect Your Timberlands

How to Clean and Protect Your Timberlands

We frequently receive questions asking us how to best care for Timberland boots and shoes – and we totally get it - when you LOVE a product, you want to take care of it. Your Timberlands are an investment piece, and you want to get the most out of them, so they stand the test of time.

Okay, so you’ve set aside time to do the big clean, but where do you begin? There’s nubuck leather, there’s suede… Not to worry! We have our own exclusive line of Timberland shoe care products to help you out.

HOW TO CARE FOR SUEDE, NUBUCK AND CANVAS

If you’re like us, you wear your 6-inch Classic Yellow Boots everywhere, so no doubt they’ve become a little dirty. Don’t sweat it, we’ve got you!

Using the Dry Cleaning Kit, use the brush to help pick up any surface dirt or stains that have dried into the material. For any marks, scuffs, or stains, use the eraser to work into them until they disappear. Follow with the brush again to wipe off any excess dirt after this step.

When using the Renewbuck™ Foaming Cleaner, spray onto a cloth and make sure to work into the entire boot. Once wiping off any excess cleaner that may be left, leave to completely air dry.

Once you’ve finished cleaning, we recommend protecting your boots with Balm Proofer™ Water & Stain Repellent for extra protection against the elements and stains.

HOW TO CARE FOR SMOOTH, WAXED, OILED & PEBBLED LEATHERS

Do you have some leather products laying around, looking a bit worse for wear? Bring life back into them by using our Waximum™ Waxed Leather Protector. How the Waximum™ works is it softens the leather, while protecting it with a layer of waterproofing without compromising breathability. This works on all leathers, like the Earthkeeper® Original Leather 6-Inch Boot, however we do not recommend using on suede of nubuck.

After a hot Timberland tip? Our Waximum™ Waxed Leather Protector also acts as a great spot cleaner for leather furniture!

We hope our tips on how to care for your boots and shoes has answered any questions you may have had! Don’t forget, the more you wear your Timbs, the more regularly you should clean and protect them. Our range of shoe care products are designed to help you keep that fresh-out-of-the-box day one feel!
