Giving the traditional Timberland’s product design a unique touch, the GIRI Collection is surely serving the purpose. Urban and contemporary, the new collection is a modern take of the Japanese Samurai spirit on martial art. GIRI means “katana sword cut”, a sword effortlessly slicing through a tatami mat in Tameshigiri (traditional katana testing ritual), leaving an incredibly straight and clean cut. It features a strong showing of minimal wardrobe pieces in colorful palettes, including canvas boots (the YOKOGIRI line) and oversized apparels (the KESAGIRI line).
Available in the Radford 6-inch Canvas Boot style, the YokoGiri Footwear Collection adds durability, flexibility, comfort and lightness to the iconic Timberland boots. The Radford boot is composed of abrasion resistant coated canvas and lightweight Sensorflex™ outsole. With the construction of padded collar and EVA footbed, the comfortability of each steps is further maximized. In the traditional Japanese sword technique, YokoGiri means horizontal cut. This concept can be reflected on the Sensorflex™ outsole which is formed by merging three separate layers horizontally to deliver all-day support on the modern trail.
